I am on the Battery Rewards plan with 3 cent fit and a bonus 25 cents for fit between 5 and 9, capped at $400 per quarter.
Today I noticed the AGL Battery Rewards plan, note the added AGL, which pays just straight 28 cents, no bonus, no $400 per quarter limit.
I wonder whether the old Battery Rewards plan will be rolled into the new AGL Battery Rewards plan.
Hi team,
3. Today I noticed there is a new AGL Battery Rewards plan that offers a flat 29c feed-in tariff (FIT). Since I originally signed up to the older Battery Rewards plan with quarterly giftcard, I was wondering:
Hi,
I signed up Battery Rewards plan on 19th March 26. On 18th May I received my first Battery Rewards eGift card for the peak export which is for very less than I exported between 19th March to 18th May. The card or email does not have export period, which is export start period and export end period. I exported 685kwh until 17th May but have received credit only for 475kwh. I called resolution team couple of times and they also don't know the dates for which this credit has been paid for. They promised to investigate the matter and call me back but I am still waiting after 5 days. It is very disappointing that I am missing approximately $55 worth of credit. Resolution team is not very helpful so far so who do I contact to now?
I am experiencing the same thing, the gift card i received is a lot less than i expected (ie.I am pretty sure i exported more). I did some investigation and i figured that the total credit amount for the giftcard was calculated based on the 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm peak window. However, after daylight saving ended, it should have been from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. I have also emailed Georgia to hopefully looking into this for me.
I have done some further calculation following my last comment.
I calculated the total amount of energy exported during both time intervals (4pm-8pm and 5pm - 9pm) using the usage data I downloaded from AGL. In both scenarios, the value of the energy exported during these peak times—credited at the 25¢ rate—is significantly higher than the value of the gift card I received. The gift card amount does not seem to be accurately reflect or cover the value of the power I sent back to the grid
Can I pls get someone to look into this pls?
I signed on to the AGL Battery rewards programme in Vic on 3/12/25 with the $800 reward to stay for a year and I also signed onto the AGL VPP at the same time. The information supplied was that it was to be an ongoing contract until cancelled by either party.
In May 26, I was contacted to advise that the 25c bonus was changing from a Visa credit card to an account credit, however there would be no other changes.
I then received a message to say that my contract was finishing in June 26. I contacted AGL and was advised that this message was sent in error and that everything was in place to continue and to ignore the message. I had recommended this plan to my brother-in-law and he received the same message. He was also assured that the only change was the crediting of the peak exports to the account instead of a Visa card.
I luckily checked my plan details on the AGL app 2 days ago and found that my plan had changed with massive increases in supply charges and rates. I contacted AGL and advised the agent that something had gone wrong with my plan as the charges and the rates had gone up substantially. He told me they were not going up until 1st July. I said my rates have already gone up, can you please check my account as something is wrong. He told me my rates had not changed and as I didn't believe him he was putting me through to resolutions. Thankfully, the lady there checked my account and said that something was indeed wrong with my account and my AGL Battery rewards plan had been terminated on the 17th June. She very efficiently re-instated my account with the Battery rewards plan and back dated it to the 17th June. 10/10 for resolutions, 0/10 for AGL support. The jury is still out on AGL battery rewards plan, but is not looking look when my contract was cancelled after 6 months and changed to the AGL Standard contract. I do not know why it was cancelled as it is still being advertised on the web as an ongoing plan. I have recommended the AGL Battery Rewards plan to a lot of people online - I hope I don't regret it.
