NBN Plan change without notifying me

Why did AGL change my internet plan without asking me, I was on home fast with 500/50, got an email today saying you had changed my plan to home fast with 100/20.  No notification, no email, no contact at all.  Not impressed, increased the price of my plan while reducing the speed by 80%.

I also received an unexpected email this morning (10:40am, 1 May 2026) stating, “We’ve set up your new nbn plan…”.

This is the first communication I’ve had regarding any change.

The new plan appears to move me from $94/month for 500/50 Mbps to $109/month for 87/18 Mbps, which is a significant downgrade in both price and performance.

There was no prior notice, explanation, or consent requested for this change. That is not acceptable.

Yeah my plan was changed to the same thing, and there also seems to be price rises that we also have not been advised about.   I have FTTP as well and it seems the plan that I was changed to doesn't even work with FTTP..4.jpg

Same here, my plan seems to have stayed the same, but they just upped the prices. No warning at all.

My issue is they changed my plan to one that had lower speeds and according to your own website was not suitable for FTTH.  That certainly wasn't mentioned in the email, in fact the email said, there would be no changes to the plan.
