AVOID AGL BUNDLED WITH INTERNET.
Hi all, I would highly suggest to avoid AGL Internet/Mobile. This is the second time I have had poor customer service not to mention the below par product. My first issue was asking for a static IP address, somehow they managed to get that all wrong and I had an outage instead. I was advised I would get a discount on my mobile for the month as I required to hotspot. That never happened and our internet only works via wifi not via LAN cable. Then today there was an outage due to weather which is understandable. I asked if I could please get extra data on my mobile to hotspot until the NBN was fixed. I was told no. So here I am paying for NBN that doesn’t work, and now have to pay extra data for my
mobile.
If you have a brain avoid AGL they are an absolute disgrace.
I've seen many companies get into non core type businesses, even our road service (RAA in SA) has gone into all sorts of side businesses, buying large blocks of whatever, getting a commission, or a margin on top.
I feel they've lost their way / focus, and didn't renew my RAA membership after more than 45 years.
Personally, I would not use anyone not directly involved in producing the service I want.
AGL do a pretty good job at supplying retail power (& gas for those that have it), but I will get my internet from a good provider, and phone from a telco.
Same goes with insurances, nothing from a supermarket type reseller.
Hopefully they can either work through the service problems, but depts for all these different services, and particular knowledge / service skills for each, must be costly to establish and maintain.
@Moz22 Good morning.
I am so sorry you have had that experience with us. We are absolutely more than able to discount the bill for you due to the issues you have been facing.
A static IP should be an easy request, I am sorry you faced a troubled time with us relating to that.
Unfortunately, we don't have a way to provide more data unless you are willing to upgrade your mobile data plan. While I understand this isn't the ideal process, it is the only process we have in place. You will need to contact us to get the bill discounted, as this should have been done already.
I do sincerely apologize for the inconvenience we have caused you regarding this.
Kind regards, Natasha,
