Double or triple topic title, then say tripled in the post, you should know which it is.
Even double is crazy, but triple ?
Most of the recent rises were in the order of max 15%.
The usual upward price changes once again July 1st with the AER DMO's around the country.
Remember too when comparing last quarter (?) bill, Winter bills are usually much higher for many.
Electric heating can be very high in usage with cheaper bar type heaters.
Compare last bill and previous bill side by side . . .
Still on same plan type ? (Single, TOU, no new demand tariff change, etc.)
If on demand tariff, did you use a lot of power during that period of penalty ?
Usage in kwh for various times that may have increased.
Increase in daily supply charge ?
Pricing for various tariff times, major increase ?

One is usually low, the other high, and vice versa . . . so you must work out what is best for your home usage.
It's not easy to compare various retailers, plans, metering types, rates, and relate it to your homes usage.
If on single tariff, it's not too hard to work through it.
With TOU and demand, it seems impossible for many to compare apples for apples with power pricing, perhaps by design.
