When will the promised energy bill assistance materialise? I’ve just received my electric bill for May/Aug with no reduction.

Log onto your account on the web interface, look under billing / transaction history, you should a confusing message similar to :

13 Aug 2024          AUS SA Gov Energy Relief       - $75.00

Could not find this in the APP.

We live in SA the statement is not correct we do not get any SA Gov Relief, it should state

13 Aug 2024        AUS Fed  Gov Energy Relief     - $75.00

Your FED amount is paid in 4 by $75 payments.

This payment will be taken on my next bill.

If you have monthly bills the whole $75 will be taken off your next monthly bill, you will then have to wait two months before the next $75 will be credited to your account.

I was wondering the same thing. I didn't get the Federal Government Rebate either on my August bill.

The federal rebate ended Dec 31st 2025, with last billing cycle credits applied by Jan 2026.
So they no more.
There might be some state rebates still around, not sure.

As @Lester mentioned the Energy Bill Relief Fund ended 31st December 2025, this is why you would not have seen it on your recent bills.
