Changing plans

I thought changing plans using myaccount on the website would be simple. I couldn’t be more wrong.

I had been automatically changed to the ‘core plan’ (which is ridiculously expensive) on 13/11…. So I immediately changed to the ‘value saver’ plan …. My electricity plan was changed successfully. However today I received an email stating that I was moving home!!  and that my gas meter would have a final read on 18/11 and gas disconnected. Complete rubbish, I did not request this. I then spent 30mins with the resolutions rep who assured me that this was all a mistake (all mine apparently… which I refute) and that I would be billed in the core plan rate from 1/11 til 18/11 and be billed for that period before a new billing cycle would commence at the value saver rate. I am apparently going to receive a credit on this bill which is as it should be as this was not my error.
I am not holding out much hope that this is resolved as I have now received a text from AGL stating that my gas disconnection will take place on 18/11 🙄

And upon checking my account I now have TWO gas accounts. What the hell is this all about?? I am beyond frustrated.

On the plus side Yash from the resolution department was extremely helpful but I can’t help wondering if he has successfully solved this issue.🤷🏼‍♀️

Don't hang by your neck waiting. It took me about 18 months to get the same issue sorted a few years ago when AGL claimed i was moving house, despite living in the same spot for about 30 years

Yeah, That's what happened to me, Now they are holding more than $ 1700:00 + which they gave me GARBAGE about the Default plan. Plus and they don't want me to GIVE MY CREDIT BACK. After all, Its MY Money, Not AGL's.

I'm SHOPPING AROUND FOR A DIFFERENT Supplier. NOT HAPPY
