Hi LindyLou281, You're right! It is the meter reader's responsibility to do the meter reading and provide us with the reading for billing. However, clear access must be provided to the meter for the reader to perform their duty. Understandably, at times access to meters can be restricted due to varied reasons which is why AGL has the option for our customers to submit your own meter reading to avoid paying estimated bills.
