I've tried to respond to your messages many times but they keep coming back undelivered. So I'll try here.
Just to fill you in on what's happening, I purchased an esim on the day they were launched, I did not get a welcome email with the QR code. After many phone calls I finally got a QR code 3 days later but it did not work. So I've been calling every day to try to get it sorted without any luck.
I called again on Tuesday to see if it was possible to just get a new QR code but I got cut off during the discussion. Then I got an email saying thanks for ordering a replacement SIM card which I will receive in the mail. I did not order a replacement SIM card. Then I discover my phone is not registered on the network, so can't make or receive calls. So a few more phone calls didn't get that sorted out either. Still waiting for the SIM card and QR code.
I was going to forget the whole thing and and head to the Optus store and sign up there when I received your email. So I'll give it one last try.
Ok, it has now been 8 days that I have been without phone sevice, and 8 days that I have waited for the replacement SIM card that I did not order. I rang again to see what is happening and I was told that the replacement SIM has been activated (not by me, I haven't received it). So they will be sending me another one, who knows when that will arrive.
It is now 16 days sine I purchased an e sim and I am still waiting for a working QR code.
I can't even changes providers and keep my number because I don't have an active SIM card.
This is without a doubt the biggest nightmare I've ever had with a service provider.
