System savings

I joined both AGL Battery rewards and AGL VPP on 3/12/25. Since the end of Feb 26, I have additional information on my AGL app regarding the batteries. It also shows that there have been no VPP events on my account. It is showing that I have "System savings" of $17 from solar and $30 from Battery and Solar. What does this mean? For further information it refered me to the VPP plan. As far as I am I concerned I have not saved anything. All I am interested in seeing in the app is the amount of VPP rewards and Battery rewards. it also appears that the app is indicating that my batteries are flat 0%

Hi @Tazzie,

Thanks so much for joining AGL Battery Rewards and being part of our VPP - we’re really glad to have you on board!

At the moment, VPP events and VPP rewards won’t appear in the app until your battery has taken part in its first VPP event. Once that happens, you’ll be able to see the event history and any associated VPP savings directly in the app.

For the Battery Rewards Plan, we calculate your eligible battery exports as part of your normal billing cycle. At the end of each quarter, you’ll receive an email confirming your total eligible 5–9pm exports, along with your Battery Rewards digital gift card.

If your app is showing your battery at 0% state of charge and this doesn’t match what you’re seeing in your battery manufacturer’s app, the best next step is to email batterysupport@agl.com.au with a few screenshots from your app. The team can then look directly into your battery data and provide you with more information.

Hi @Tazzie

System savings gives you a helpful snapshot of how your solar and battery are working for you. It’s an estimate of how much you’ve saved by using more of your own energy and relying less on electricity from the grid. These savings are shown as a guide based on your system’s performance and standard tariff assumptions, rather than a payment. Any VPP or Battery Rewards you earn are calculated separately and applied directly to your bill — so you can easily see the extra value your system is delivering.
