After listening to your feedback, we're excited to show you the new-look eBill summary. As well as freshening up the look and feel, we've added some crucial information so you can quickly get the important details about your account.

What's changed?

In addition to your bill amount, due date and other useful links, you'll now see:

  • Whether your bill is an estimated or actual meter read (if you have a basic meter you can avoid an estimated bill by completing a self-service meter read)
  • A link to set a bill due reminder in your calendar
  • Instantly pay your bill with a link to make a payment
  • A snapshot of any applied concessions or discounts
  • A new usage and cost snapshot comparing your usage to the same period last year (if available).
  • A link to our bill explainer page for more info on how to read your bill

How to view the full bill

While we've tried to include most useful information, you're still able to download your bill in full by selecting View your bill on your bill summary. You won't need to log in to your account to do so.

Alternately, you can access your bill by logging in to My Account.

To access your bill via the AGL app, select the Billing tab, tap the bill you'd like to view, then View PDF.

Questions and feedback

This new-look eBill was created based on feedback from customers like you, and we'd love to hear what you think. If you have any questions or comments, you're welcome to add them to this post!

Hi @Black01Cat , don't worry, there's no changes happening to meter reads. If you don't read your meter already, you won't need to start doing it.

@Dot

Please don't worry Dot, the bill is just an example and none of it relates to you.

Interesting - I wanted to have a look at the new bill format and to log in I had to enter my old email address despite this notification being sent to my new (year old) email address.  Having got to the new format I was amazed to see that we are not provided with the usage and $ for this month last year.  Comparing the last three months is of no use and I warrant that your management receives monthly accounts that compares “This month” with the same month “Last year”.   So why not give that to your customers?

Hi @mandph - the new eBill summary referred to in this announcement is what appears in the email itself. You don't need to log in to see it.

But if you do want to compare usage though, you only need to log in and go to the Usage tab, select the period you want to compare and then click "Compare previous period" and select any period you wish to compare it to.

It seems every time the bill layout or "summary" is changed, we get less and less information. The same is true of logging in.

How much does it cost to redesign the bill? The frequency with which that happens is keeping a few people in a job at least.

Same boring look and feel with no call to action or engagement around the epic mission - Yawn. Someone getting paid for this?

How come the bill is sent to my E Mail address but when I try to see the breakdown of the bill AGL wont recognize my E Mail and says it is attached to another account.

Your new billing set out I find confusing your old billing method covers everything at a glance. Your new one leaves a lot of spaces and many more questions. I cannot understand why or even how you came to think that you have made an improvement. It is very badly laid out and very unclear to the point of being confusing.

Hi @Maca , it's possible that you have the email where you receive your communications set to a different address than the one you use to log in to your account. You can change this by logging into My Account. Click your name in the top right, then "Account settings" and "Communication preferences".

The new-look eBill summary is, in one respect, a backward step. I want to pay only for the gas that I have actually used.- not an estimate. This is especially so because my gas use varies  significantly from season to season. Why change a process that is working well for me.
