Router upgrade

Having issues with slow WiFi speed in the bedroom, it's 32mbps right next to the router and 4mbps in the main bedroom. Would upgrading the router from the standard issue one that AGL supplies mitigate this issue and if so could you recommend a compatible upgrade to purchase?
