I am a new resident in Australia and rented my first house. I was paying for the energy that arrived at my address account number [removed]. This week an agent from AGL came saying that I needed to contact the company, as I was reporting debts and that they would count my electricity.
I contacted AGL yesterday and the attendant said that I needed to choose a plan and add my name to the account, which she said she had done. I asked her why she was showing debts when I had already made 2 payments since I lived here. She said the company would look into it.
Today I received an email with a new account number and the same amounts as the bills I had already paid, but now showing late payments for this new account. I went to the website to find more information, I realized that in my name and at my address there are two energy meters, that is, they are charging me twice.
How do I solve this problem? I have all proof of payment.
