I am sorry to hear that you have received an estimated gas bill, especially when your meter is accessible and there have been no changes to the access.
There may be a few reasons to why the meter had not been read, however, the meter read that you been provided through the app will keep your usage in line. If any adjustments need to be made based on a discrepancy between the estimated read and the read provided, this will generally be applied to your next invoice.
