Estimated bills?

Both my meters are easy to get at and read - just wondering under what circumstance there would be a reason to send an estimated bill?????.       I believe we pay enough for these utilities without having to do the actual meter reading ourselves.

I left AGL because of estimated bills.
AGL estimated mine so high I still had a credit on the next two quarterly
bills.
That is crazy

Hi Wayne, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Energy bill can be estimated if the distributor is unable to complete a meter reading at your premise. You can find more information about this on https://www.agl.com.au/help-support/billing-payments/estimated-bills. Irrespective of your energy retailer, your distributor and the way they perform meter reading will be the same. It would be best to understand the reason for the bills being estimated to avoid this in the future. AGL customer also have the option to provide meter reading to avoid estimates. i dont see how your meter reads are my issue. i dont own a dog and there are no safety issues stopping your company getting a meter reading. instead given overly high estimates. who does this benefit? well it surely isnt me when the estimates are higher than they should be. just a cheap way for the company to charge more for deing less

I don't have a fence
I do not have a gate.
I do not have a dog.
There is free access to the meter.

How about AGL answer my issues?

Why was the bill estimated?
Why was the estimated bill so high?
It was higher than my previous bill.
The estimate was so high that my next bill was fully paid for.
The bill following that still had a credit on it.

I feel AGL are causing financial hardship for customers because of this unethical behaviour.

 
Please answer my questions and do not just send me some information as a decoy to your unethical behaviour.
