Electricity Setup - Energy Connection

Hi,
I have an appointment to connect the energy (Electricity) to our property on 24/08/2023.
However, no one came on that day to check or connect.
The Setup is still in process until today (27/08/2023).

 

AGL advised that the main switch needs to be in the OFF position. We have already moved in. Our Main Switch is ON as we need power for our electrical devices.
What should we do?
Would we need to keep the main switch OFF?
When will the setup be finished?

Hi HQN, Thank you for getting in touch. 

 

If you have a smart meter, the connection and initial meter read occurs remotely. Once we receive the data your account will be active, this can take a few days. 

 

Just to confirm, is the electricty on? If so, you can leave the main switch in the on position and you won't be required to do anything further.
