Botched Aussie Broadband transition

As I expected, our VoIP / home phone no longer works after the Aussie Broadband transition, and once again our elderly 90s mother in law has no phone, doctor, dentist or otherwise. Next stop, complaint to our Fed MP, the only thing that worked last time. Zero care or interest in the elderly, disgusted.

Have been on hold most of today & getting nowhere. Ditto the useless chat which refers me to another AGL telco chat service & which doesn’t exist.

Further, the AGL instructions for our TP-Link modem are incorrect & refer to a section of the software that doesn’t exist. Overall, poorly written & demonstrates both a lack of care and any competence.

A waste of time thus far. Totally disgusted.

Hi @profdraper

I’m really sorry. Having the home phone stop working after the transition is concerning, especially when your mother-in-law relies on it, and I understand why the long waits and modem instructions have added to your frustration.

AGL’s home phone information is available here on our website here: https://www.agl.com.au/help-support/account-setup-management/connect-home-phone

Thanks for raising this, including the feedback about the support experience and setup instructions.
Cheers, Chris
