Hi AGL,

Upon moving into our rental property, three airconditioners did not work nor the lift. After rectification by the Airconditioning service provider each unit was fully replaced with reported damage caused by a power surge.

The same was reported by the Lift service company.

Barry Plant Real Estate Mornington via the Landlords Insurance provider, requested we contact AGL to enquiry regarding any power surges in our area in the month of July 2024.

thank you,

Russell Dupuy

Hi Russell, Information regarding power surges/outages and the subsequent compensation claims are managed by your energy distributor. The energy distributor's contact information is provided on the first page of your energy bill (Usually on the top). Please feel free to reach out to us if you are finding difficulties in locating this information. Cheers, Deepesh

Upon moving into our rental property, three air conditioners and the lift were damaged, reportedly due to a power surge. After the service providers rectified the issues, it was confirmed that the power surge caused the damage.

Hi Russell,

Thank you for reaching out.

This issue will need to be directed to the distributor that services your area, for reference your electricity distributor is responsible for the electricity power poles, and wires that deliver power to your home.

If you are unsure who your distributor is, the information is included at the top of your AGL bill.

Kind regards,

Megan
