Hi @Leon ,

Estimated billing is common if you don't have a smart meter. It means if your electricity distributor is unable to access your meter, your usage will be estimated temporarily (Remember, AGL doesn't read your meter, your local electricity distributor does). Next time your meter is actually read, or if you submit a meter read yourself, your bill will simply be updated, and you'll be credited or charged extra depending if the estimate was under or over. You always have the option to avoid estimated billing by providing your own self-service meter read.

Hi David_AGL, mine was "estimated" too. They said, "no access", the last time this happened, we were getting work done for our unit complex.  I said, I won't pay and I dont pay "estimates".  How do I stop this?  We had the option of a "smart meter", I said no thanks.

Apparently, it's being re-read soon.  I'm pretty cheesed off.

Also, the techies on the internet want US to read OUR meters.  Isn't that what a "meter reader" does?
