Energy-Only Plan

Hi, I am a residential customer in a Victorian embedded network operated by SUPA Energy.

The site has an Embedded Network Manager (Intellihub) and I have an NMI. SUPA has confirmed that I am able to exercise Power of Choice and that SUPA would continue billing me separately for network charges only.

Does AGL offer an energy-only retail plan for embedded network customers in Victoria? If so, could you please provide the applicable tariff information?

Thank you.

Hi @salii

We will be able to put in for a plan so that you are able to have an AGL plan.

This process is best completed over the phone. Before you contact us, I'll advise collecting the following information as it will be needed to process the request:

  • Meter Number
  • NMI (National Meter Identifier)
  • Supply Address
  • ENM (Embedded Network Manager) Name
  • Current account number with ENM

The rates that you will get do depend on the distribution area and plan selected, it's also important to understand that the charges you would receive from AGL will be based on your usage and part of the daily supply charge, the network costs, also known as NUOS charges will be charges by the embedded network operator.

Thank you, Chris

Hi Chris, thank you for your response.

Could we please continue this enquiry via email, as it allows me to keep a record of the information provided and compare the available options more easily?

I also note that my email to admin@community.agl.com.au was returned as undeliverable. Could you please advise the correct email address or an alternative email contact for this enquiry?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hey Ray!

As we have a variable plan for electricity, we are unable to provide you the rate via email. To best assist you with this enquiry, we highly recommend contacting AGL via

Kindly,
Mia.

Hi Mia, I called AGL regarding a Power of Choice enquiry for an embedded network customer in Victoria.

While the staff I spoke with were polite and tried to assist, I was referred between multiple representatives and spent a considerable amount of time without receiving a clear answer on whether a suitable plan was available. Unfortunately, the call was also disconnected in the middle of the conversation, and I was not contacted back.

Overall, the experience was quite disappointing, particularly after receiving a positive response from Chris, which gave me the impression that AGL may have been able to assist with my enquiry.

Hi @salii

I'm sorry to hear that the experience when contacting our team.

It's not something that is brought up often, which could potentially be why there was the confusion and the referrals to multiple representatives.
I'd like to encourage you if you have the information to contact our support team again so that we can assist.

Thank you, Chris
