Audio Graph Experience Overview

Audio Graphs allow us to turn charts into audible representations. Below are examples of Battery Usage charts across iOS which now support Audio Graph, including area, line, and bar charts.

Why are Audio Graphs important?

  • Audio Graphs allow us to turn charts into audible representations, helping people who are blind or have low vision to get an understanding of how those charts look like. It also visualises charts using colours distinguishable by people suffering from Colour Blindness
  • Features, statistics, and summary of charts will be also produced, such as maximum, minimum, and average values. If there are multiple charts displayed at the same time, Audio Graphs let us filter and view them individually.

iPad Experience Overview

The app has been optimised for iPad support across portrait and landscape modes, utilising the larger form factor to present screens on the full display. Usage graphs and tabs look great and are more immersive on the larger display. See a demo of the new experience

Why is iPad support important?

  • Our iPad users are amongst the most engaged across all devices, despite the experience. They spend on average twice as long on the iPad as they do on the phone app.
  • iPad customers using My Account miss out on native functionality, such as push notifications and being always signed in which they can use on the AGL iPad app.

Over the next releases, we will further enhance the experience our app provides to make it even more accessible.
