Hi Fogger . . . Joining AGL, joining a VPP, joining battery rewards ?

Joining AGL ?

I have found here in SA, there is little difference with retailers for people without solar and for people with solar only.

Some offer lower tariffs but higher daily supply charges, and vice versa.

People with a battery have a lot more choice of offers from different retailers (or even whole models like Amber) as there are so many variances of FITs avaliable during evening peak, some offereing up to 35c or so for 3 or 4 hours exports in the evening.

Can easily cover usage charges.

More info would be needed on your solar system pv size and performance, battery size and how much spare you have year round, to really be able to give any thoughts on the latter two items (VPP or battery rewards).

It's all so complex now, that even the govco energymadeeasy.gov.au site has trouble working past anything more than homes with basic solar, and homes with solar and battery ownership they just don't cover any of the smaller good offers.

You have to hunt them down via various sources, FB groups, searches online.

If you usage went up like that during overcast / rain, then your system is fairly small, likewise battery ?
