Same Kw Feed in different AUD Payout

Hey everyone,
Just noticed something odd with my AGL solar feed-in credits:

  • 15 June – Exported 16.27 kWh → Got $2.44 (~15 c/kWh)

  • 9 July – Exported 16.76 kWh → Got $1.44 (~8.6 c/kWh)

Same export, almost half the credit a few weeks later. I checked AGL’s feed-in terms and they say rates can change, but I didn’t see any notice.

Anyone else seen this drop? Is it due to time-of-day rates or just a general cut? Curious what others think.

Thanks!

I'm guessing you are a new FIT rate.

Tariffs changed July 1st for probably all states / regions, but that is a different thing to your FIT, and doesn't affect what you get in return for your excess production.

You were on 15c FIT and it's now 8.5c ?

8.5c is an unusual amount though, usually FITs are even cents with no part cent.

That's what it looks like anyway, a big drop.

You should have received a notification by email or letter about that, and new tariff rates.

Here is SA the standard 4c FIT for 2024/2025 dropped 50% to 2c, so wish we could still get even 8c here.

Thanks.. I don't remember getting an e-mail about the drop. Is this AGL or nationwide all providerd ?

The AER releases new approved pricing each year (at least) for July 1st.

Go to your account, on the overview page you can access your current plan and tariff / FIT info.

Click 'view plan details', on the website that brings up all current plan, tariff, and FIT rates.

If on the phone app, I think you have to toggle to the rates window to view that info.
