Smart Meter in apartments

How is the installation for apartment blocks organised? Is there a known schedule?

I'm in an older building and the help docs mention doing all the units in an apartment at the same time (makes sense) and that we will be informed when it's time to upgrade.

But is there a schedule for when specific areas or buildings are done? Or is it just wait and see?

There's new energy plans with free electricity in the middle of the day but they require a smart meter.

While 3 for free might help SOME users, be aware there are higher tariffs for the other 21 hours a day, including the peak hours that usually seem most usage, early mornings before work, and evenings.

Going onto TOU tariff vs old single rate is really dodgy for many, let alone the 3 for free high peak / shoulder tariffs.

As well as that, the daily supply charge is higher too for the 3 for free offers, so do some basic math based on your bills and data for how much you can use and save in the 3 free hours, because many are going to be paying a lot more with these new govco forced offers.
