After receiving a text on 4/2/25 from AGL reminding me that my gas meter was due to be read, and that I could enter a reading, I duly sent one via ‘my account’
Awoke on 5/2 to a bill for this billing cycle.
Well, now I’m going to be billed for two days (5th and 6th Feb) so that my billing cycle ‘re-sets’ . What is the point of sending in a reading, that is accepted and a bill created, only to get another bill two days later (for a minimal amount but still so ridiculous!!)

The SMS prompts to provide your meter read will come through before your bill is due to be generated to ensure your bill is as accurate as possible.
If you are on monthly billing, the bill that you received on the 5th will cover the previous month and you shouldn't receive another bill until early March.
