Hi KGEllis,

Thanks for being part of the AGL Community.

Controlled Load refers to electric hot water usage. This is monitored on a separate meter.

I have just had a smart meter installed and AGL has removed my controlled load charge for the hot water service.  So now I have no off peak charging for hot water.  This is a poor way to treat a customer

Control load 2, is this an extra service that can be discontinued if only heating water? Our family has reduced and we are trying to save on extra costs.

I thought All hot water was done with off-peak, or is it all on Controlled load 2?
