Questions and discussions about managing your energy usage and saving money
Energy Insight Report is an interesting resource, but not sure how accurate it is (or if it can be configured for more accuracy). AGL reports that almost a third of our power consumption is from our Pool Pump, which is a modern (efficient) multi speed pump running at low to medium speed during non peak hours (ie 10 hours per day) with minimal power consumption. I suspect it gets confused with our EV (car), which charges during the same hours from a standard power outlet and which is not mentioned in the Energy Insight Report at all (even though we have the EV energy contract).

Hi @Eddoman thank you for reaching out.
You have picked up on one of the key limitations of the energy insights report, that it is based on estimations of what devices have been used.
The smart meter is capable of measuring how much energy is used and at which time, but not how many or which device was responsible for it's usage.
The report is generated on modelling of what kind of devices share the same kind of usage patterns, but on an individual level, accuracy can vary quite a lot.
Kind regards,
Xander
Hi @Xander-AGL,
How do I get this "Energy Insights Report", which shows breakdown of usage?
I need to reimburse/claim at home EV charging from my leasing company. They have requested for itemized invoice of my electric bill showing the vehicle charging in order to pay me back the corresponding charges.
Is there anyway to do so?
Many thanks.
Hi Helgendy, You can locate more information about energy insights and set up your home profile by visiting https://www.agl.com.au/help-support/account-setup-management/agl-energy-insights. However, this is only based on estimates. Unfortunately, there isn't a way for us to give you an itemized invoice showing usage for every device in your house. Cheers, Deepesh
