I don't know if it is just me but i am currently on a home fast plan, supposed to be max 100 Mbps download speed but for some reason i never get more than 84 Mbps. I use ethernet cable to connect to my pc. Peak hrs i get around 50-60 but maximum is 82-84 never seen 100. Support couldn’t help me either.

Your internet speed being consistently below the advertised 100 Mbps is likely due to network congestion, ISP over-provisioning, router limitations, cable issues, or background processes. Troubleshoot by connecting directly to the modem, checking router settings, trying different cables, updating drivers, closing background apps, using multiple speed tests, and contacting your ISP again, documenting all results.

The internet speed was supposed to increase from 100mps to up to 1000 on 14 September 2025.

My internet speed in Wagga Wagga was still at 100 mbps a week after that.  I contacted AGL who would not help me (to cut a long story short) so I changed to Optus.

I checked with my next neighbour, and they too are on AGL and their speed increased as it should have.

I am happy to change back to AGL if they will help me get the faster speed.

Will they contact me because of this post ????
