New apartment — my unit is missing from the nbn database, how can I connect with AGL?

Hi everyone,

I've just moved into an apartment and I'd like to connect AGL nbn (I already have AGL for my electricity, and a neighbour in my building has an active AGL nbn service, so I know the building is serviceable).

The problem: my unit doesn't appear in the nbn database. When I enter my address, the address either can't be found. I've now checked with AGL, Optus and Aussie Broadband, and none of them can find.

What's strange is that every other unit in the building is listed and connectable. The building shows as "service available" (FTTC) on the nbn rollout map, and there's already an nbn connection point. So it really looks like it was simply missed/omitted from the nbn address database when the development was registered, rather than the area not being serviceable.

My questions:

  1. What's the best way to get this fixed so I can connect with AGL?
  2. Can AGL lodge an address validation / missing address request with nbn on my behalf, given the rest of the building is already serviceable?
  3. Is there a specific process or team I should be dealing with for this?

I'd really appreciate any guidance, as I've been stuck without a fixed connection for a while.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @DiogoPeres

If your neighbor has an AGL NBN account, I suggest contacting our team and we'll be able to put through another order, Our team may require proof of address to complete this.
Thank you, Chris
