Smell of gas 15/20m from metre

Just wondering if I should be concerned or it’s normal to smell gas outside15/20m away from the metre when an appliance is being used inside, that uses the gas. I can’t say I’ve smelt anything if an appliance isn’t being used.

My distributor is agl but I’m not sure it’s an emergency just was wondering if it’s normal or not and if I should bother following up if it’s not normal.
