@adrian-

You can read your meter (If it's not a smart meter) and submit the reading and compare it with the readings you have taken yourself.

Now $400 is not a lot, only $4.44 a day.

You saying you have "been over estimated", would indicate that you do not have a smart meter.

We are 2 Adult people living in a 4 bedroom house, our daily usage is 5.12 Kw per day, our projected bill (we are 25 days into this billing cycle) as we download our usage data regularly and can decipher it, our projected bill is $327 or $3.63 a day

For the same period last year it was $318 ($3.53 a day)  with daily usage of 5.33Kw per day.

We only have evaporative Air Conditioning, have separate rooms / TV's etc and cook together.

My next door neighbour has 4 people and his elect bill is normally around $1200 but he has gas as well.

Cheers Neil

Hey there,

I understand having an unexpected high bill could be stressful. There are a few things on the bill can be used to make sure you are being charge the estimation or an actual usage. This normally located on the final page of the bill, under meter details. Let's just check this first before we move to the next step of supporting you.

Kind regards,
Mia.
