Unable to verify ID

I have been trying to sign up to the AGL EV night saver plan, however at checkout, I am greeted with the response Unable to verify ID. I have tried both medicare card and passport with the correct details (as I do not have a drivers license) however both have failed despite being valid documents with correct names. I have tried contacting via web chat, however they simply said 'doesn't work', and tried ringing 131245 however there seems to be no option to sign up a plan? Is there anyway I can chat with a real person to understand why I cannot verify ID. Thanks

Thank you for your post. 

If having trouble verifying online and wish to chat with our support on the phone, you would need to call 131 245 and select Option 1 > Option 1 > Option 1 if wanting to discuss signing up to the AGL EV night saver plan. 

It's unusual that it's giving you an error, I'm sure you have double checked but I will reiterate to double check spelling and numbers that you are typing in.
