My gas bill has continuously been over estimated for the last 4 months.
I send in an actual read which slashes it by two thirds. This is never shown on the previous bills so the over estimation will continue until the cows come home! Why can't AGL sort this out in their system so that a lifelike estimation can occur? VERY frustrating when it appears that (according to the bill) there's 10 people using gas when in reality 1 person uses the cooktop to cook an evening meal! Frustrating doesn't even describe the sense of despair whilst trying to discuss over the phone after the eternal time spent on hold with no resolution.
Hi @Stevegasser, estimated readings are provided to us by your gas distributor, and if, as an example, a customer is on monthly billing, then they will receive multiple estimates as the meter itself is only read by them every quarter. It's one of the big reasons why we let people enter reads on the AGL app, to help our customers with easy access to a tool to get the bills correct.
