With a smart meter paying peak, shoulder & off rates do we work on one hour ahead of EST to get our best rate?

You just go by your local time, whether AEST, ACST etc . . . even though my meter clock shows EST, it's adjusted for that and DST when it's operating.

My SA data aligns with what I use for specific times of use whether in DST or not.

Thank you for your reply. While you are probably correct I was hoping to have AGL clarify the situation. Thank you.

Hi @Phil7

Thank you for your post.

My apologies in not responding, I had seen that Lester provided the correct information to your question which is why I had left it alone.

Digital meters will work on your local time so you don't need to do mental gymnastics trying to convert time to maximize your usage.

Thanks, Chris
