Why is AGL misleading customers with this change to billing Swapping charges Sholder & off peak and altering times

Making shoulder appear to be 27% cheaper BUT making it only when solar panels would be supplying electricity ie 10am to 2pm 7 days a week (no other shoulder at weekends) making peak appear to be 20.7%  cheaper between 3pm and 9pm again & days a week and then Off Peak 35.8% dearer for all other times again 7 days a week so overall we will be paying a hell of a lot more unless be put out at least $7000 for batteries As a pensioner I cannot afford to get batteries even with gov subsidies This is a misleading Rip off SHAME ON YOU AGL and your penny pinches

Good day, Bru!

I understand your frustration regarding this time of use, and I wish we can do things differently for you. Unfortunately, the time is set by the distributor and depending on how heavy the grid load is, the more expensive electricity during that hour become. It is the higher the demand, the higher the price.

Though we can't control what time peak or off-peak charge take place, we can make sure you are on the cheapest rate that you can have. Please check your bill to make sure your are on the cheapest plan with AGL or go to our website to compare the plan.

Kind regards,
Mia.
