Questions, discussions and feedback about the AGL website, My Account page, and our online services
Since about 2 month ago AGL sends me a paper bill because they claim my email address is invalid. As a TELSTRA Customer my email address ends with .com - with no other extension. You show the correct email address in my on-line account settings (using a Laptop).
I phone your 131 245 phone number and was connected to an overseas call centre person who was totally useless and unable to help me sort this out.
AGL send me everything to my email address as shown on my account and it is only the monthly bill that now come by mail and the threat is there each time that you sent a paper bill this time but I have to get it sorted. Well your overseas based call centre staff CAN NOT SORT IT FO ME. If you don't fix this for me from AGL in South Australia or at least Australia then I will just ignore your paper bills with a threat on the cover page. It is over to you.
Provide a billing problems contact number for customers to use that connect us customers to staff that can actually solve billing problems.
Thankyou 23-4-2026

Hi @WolfHorn
It's unusual that you would only be receiving the bills via post and not other forms of notifications as well.
You can check out your Energy billing options on our website which does have steps on changing your billing type.
Since you got a notification regarding email address is invalid, I'm going to send you a Private Message to collect some account information.
Thanks, Chris
Hi Chrise
My point was that the snail mail letter from AGL says
" We've tried unsuccessfully to send your bill by email, and need to check your email address."
Then you show my email address on file and it is the correct address.
I get AGL emails that arrive ok. So what is the real problem in accounts section of AGL?
So whoever entered my email address on your Accounts system for billing possibly entered it and added " .com " at the end. That will not work with Bigpond Emails.
Or they left out the " . " in my email address. ( which is important,
I have provided the correct information and it is correct in my AGL account settings on your website.
Where have you sent that private message to me?
