Direct Debit setup doesn't appear to have changed anything

I am trying to set up Direct Debit from a bank account. When I submit the bank details, I am returned to the page that prompts me to set up direct debit. My account still says I need to set up direct debit. 

 

A confirmation page would be nice?  This is simple stuff, and also infuriating.

Hi GPN87,

 

You can check if your direct debit has been successfully set up via the AGL my account platform by following the below instructions.

 

1. Login to My Account and select 'Account Settings' from the 'hello user' dropdown in the top righthand corner of the page. 

2. Within the 'Billing & Payments' section, find the item called 'Direct Debit' and click on 'Edit'.

 

This will show you if direct debit is active, if not you can add it here.

 

3. Click 'Set up Direct Debit'.

4. Select either an 'existing payment method', or 'add a new method'.
