Cant check out plan changes - years on end

When AGL does their yearly nudge to jack up the plan pricing by expiring and replacing plans with new versions of the same plan- I do what I suppose most of us do, log in and check the rates, use the online change plan feature to swap to whatever the new name is for the same product that has lower rates.

 

But, every year for the past few years there has been this unfortunately website bug where i cant check out, forcing me to change plans via a super slow chat, where the same questions are repeated with increassing delays in reply. Or via phone.

'try again later or contact us'

 

Today - i've also been 'disconnected' from support chats twice while trying to update plans.

Have i got a geuine account/login issue here - or is this the tactic to hopefully wear you down so you dont bother and cop the worst of the rates?

Thanks for sharing this, it’s clear this has been a really frustrating experience over a few years.

Running into errors, slow chats, and disconnections when you’re trying to manage your plan is not ideal.

Getting in touch with our customer support team again should allow them to check what’s happening on your account and help you complete the change, and we’ll pass this feedback on so the process can be improved.
