Night EV saver plan charge error

Hi

 

After the updated time of use rates were implemented last week. 

I noticed that not only has it updated the rates across the board as advertised. It also changed my 8c/kwh super off peak rates from midnight to 0600 to ~28c/kwh which is an error as I am still on the night EV plan. 

Everything from 1/7 onwards is wrong now so I suspect this is a result of an error in the new rates update. 

anyone else having this problem currently.

 

During my search I noticed this has happened before in 2023 also after a rate update.

Hmm, interesting . . . a lot of my Night Saver EV plan stuff went haywire after 1/7 too.

 

Not so much tariff rate, but no app info after 1/7, no usage updates after 1/7, no data download possible since 1/7.

It's with AGL having a look now, and hope it's fixed soon, my quarterly cycle ended yesterday.

 

I did have something very odd happen with my plan rates though . . .

My plan rate update came through 1/7 too like yours, no change to the 8c rate 0000-0600, but peak usage went up nearly 15%, from 49 cents odd to 56c odd.

 

I was looking around the various plans AGL had on the 2nd or 3rd, to see what had changed in other plans etc . . .and up came something a little different.

I noticed the "AGL Night Saver EV" plan, rather than the "Night Saver EV" my usual plan is called.

So I ticked to compare, and the new one was around 3c cheaper / kWh, daily supply charge around 6c cheaper per day, so switched on the spot.

 

So that was around 10% increase from previous issued July 1st change.

Still considerably higher than the expected approved AER change of 2.3% to 3.2% in SA.

 

There is little doubt your 28c rate is an error, although some states / regions have different tariffs, that EV rate always seems to be the same at 8c everywhere.

 

It should be an easy fix for AGL, and a rep should come along and organise a private message to get your info.

Or, be proactive and it'll probably get sorted faster . . . call their regular customer service # 131245.
