Given this was ~6 weeks ago I assume the issue isn't reoccurring... but if it's still hanging around I can suggest some options for iPhone specifically.

Few ideas for you given you've already tried reinstalling the app/made sure it's the latest version:
- Settings => General => iPhone Storage => AGL => Offload App (it's a restart app button, works similar to reinstalling)
- Restarting phone
- Trying to load it on both WiFi and 4g
- Additional links with mobile issues don't appear to have anything for you here, but you might want to look if you haven't here and here.
