New poster here. Its disappointing to see that the solar feed-in tariff credit isn't automatically transferred to the gas account and despite 2 years since this idea has been put forward, this has yet to be implemented.
As someone who has only recently added a large solar system to the house, I found it attractive to have my mobile and internet rolled into the AGL ecosystem and largely paid for by the feed-in tariff credits.
Could we please look at those services added to being paid for by any credits? I'm sure it makes very good business sense to have balances transferred to those services than it is to simply refund as cash and have customers spend their money elsewhere with other telcos.
Do AGL really care about their customers? Check out when the request was made and how many customers are asking for that feature to be implemented. tsk tsk tsk
It has now been 6 years since the first email in this chain was submitted about linking people's Electricity Solar credits, to their Gas bill so the gas bill can be paid with the solar credits. As I said in my comments posted on 6/6/21, nothing had been done up to that date, and still nothing has been done 6 years after the first comment in the chain. Again as I said back then, all that we the loyal customers of AGL were getting from you, and are still getting is political spin about this subject.
I see that AGL has had time to introduce Internet and Mobile plans, but nothing for customers to pay their gas with solar credits. AGL needs to stick to what what they have been doing for 188 years, and that is providing Electricity & Gas to its many customers. In doing that they need to make it as easy as possible for their customers to pay for the energy products that they are getting from AGL. Not only has nothing been done, the prices continue to increase by large amounts that are greater than the annual CPI every year. The fact is Australia has the highest electricity & gas cost in the world. We were told by our useless politicians to go green it will be cheaper than coal fired energy. Well just like everything that comes out of a politicians mouth it was just a big lie. Hopefully in the near future, I will be installing more solar panels and a couple of batteries that will supply all of my electricity, and it will not be connect to the grid. Then with the solar I have now, that will pay for my gas. When that is done, if I have any electricity bills, it will only be in winter when my solar can't provide it.
