QLD - Are solar diverters allowed to be connected to a controlled load circuit?

Hi,

I've been looking at having a power diverter installed to use my 5kw solar system power my hot water system.

The diverter I've settled on is from CatchPower.  https://www.catchpower.com.au/uncategorized/blue-catch/

Are there any issues with installing this in QLD and is it allowed to be connected to the controlled load circuit. In NSW this is allowed but I'd like to confirm about any QLD regulations to be aware of.

Does AGL have any specific rules around these devices in QLD?

The document at this link shows the circuit diagram for how to connect it for reference.

Thanks

Hi @Solarguy

What a great question! To best answer this question, can you please contact Energex who is the electriicty distribution company in South QLD - they are resposible for the meters, poles and wires.

Thanks!

I had my electrician call up the Energex Technical Help line and had it confirmed. Yes these diverter are allowed to be connected. A good outcome.
