^Prepaid Digital Visa gift cards are allocated quarterly and value varies depending on kWh exported in certain peak times.  Earn a $10 gift card if you export between 1kWh and 50kWh and for every additional 50kWh an extra $10 will be added to the card value – up to a maximum of $400 each quarter.

Peak charges apply from 3pm to 9pm every day, however the higher FIT rates is offered only from 5pm to 9pm. Wouldn't it be actually rewarding to pay higher FIT rates for the entire peak hours. Currently, I've set the Battery system not to export any power during 3pm to 5pm, but I'd be happy to export if higher FIT rates from 3PM are offered.

Even with a 48kw battery (which are not common) on a 3 phase system in Qld you would drop the battery SOC to zero in a smidge over 3 hours so the 4 hour window is honestly quite generous. Maybe you were hoping to capture some solar feed in between 3pm and 5pm?

On a single phase system which in Qld is limited to 5kw feed in then it does change the equation. But I’m guessing that most people with single phase if they’ve done their homework or been given good advice won’t have a installed a 48kw battery to feed in to the grid.

It’s not a case of one size fits all as everyone has different priorities and every state has different rules.

No mate not any plan, I understand the concept so I'm asking for specifics.

To answer your question AGL have full control over your battery you can not set the battery to hold any for you. They state 250kWh maximum they will access in 12 months from your battery on the VPP. It's less than one per day and a lot if taken in one day.

Regardless of the VPP or the terms and conditions, your battery life will be depleted much faster and need replacing sooner. Read the T's & C's not just the PDS, or like most of us nothing at all.
