Neighbourhood navigation improvements

Hi there,

Can you move the Pages navigation above the "Get more from Help and Support" panels?

I keep forgetting it's there, and if you don't quite scroll down far enough, you don't realise it's there.

Probably an issue because I don't come very often, but still.

Also, can you just remove the link button if you disallow even internal links to other post?

Thanks for sharing your idea! When you say "Pages navigation" do you mean page numbers? Do you mind sharing a bit more information and some screenshots too please.

Hi Basil, thanks for replying.

When you look at a long thread, the page navigation appears under the “Get more from Help and Support” panels at the bottom:

This is bad design because you’ve mixed up the hierarchy – it should be

messages > pages > thread > forums > “more from Help and Support”

Lower level ->   ->   ->   ->   ->   ->   ->   ->   ->   ->   ->   -> Higher level

But you’ve split the “pages/thread” parts away from the messages by interposing the much higher level “more from Help and Support” panels above the “inter-thread” page navigation.

It makes discovery/realisation you’re in a multi-page thread that much harder, especially since you put the original post at the top.

It can appear you have multiple threads of the original post which each have distinct messages in them.

Does that make sense? I don’t have the formal UI/UX vocabulary to explain it better.

Just put the page navigation above the “more from Help and Support” is what I’m asking for, I guess.
