BAR MOBILE BOOSTING

Smaller packages are used for children. Why on earth would you allow a constant increase in data? I signed up for 2GB I don't want them to have more than that. Not only did you allow constant data increase, but when called- you have no way to stop it. Taking my mobile plan elsewhere. What a joke.

Hi @ERIN123, sorry to hear you hit an issue with our plans. Our smallest data allowance currently is a 5GB plan, but it is boosted by 1GB when this limit is exceeded, at a cost of $10. After this happens three times, additional boosts are barred.  We send through a usage notification at 50%, 85% and 100% of used data allowance.

Many devices also allow you to add data allowance limits, to ensure that data usage is blocked once they hit a certain point that you specify, so this can be a good option for preventing children from exceeding the data cap.

Hi David,

This is not good enough. I signed up for 2GB, unless authorised to boost
you should NOT automatically be boosting. On top of that it was BOOSTED 4
times, not 3. So are you saying I should receive a refund for your error?

Hi @ERIN123 , our smallest listed plan is 5GB - I'm not aware of any 2GB plan.

Automatic boosting is listed prominently as a feature on our Mobile Plans page under the heading "What's included in all AGL mobile plans".

More information about automatic boosting is available on our Mobile Coverage help page, where we do state: "If you use 3GB of Data Boosts, your data service will be barred and you'll need to call us to unbar the service. You may be charged for additional data usage ($0.01 per MB block) for a limited time before we discontinue your data access."

If you believe you were charged for an additional boost beyond 3GB of usage, I'd absolutely encourage you get in touch with your customer service team to investigate this.
