Someone perportedly from AGL came to my house a few weeks ago and took away my gas meter reader and told my mum who was home at the time they didn't want gas meters under houses anymore and were moving them.  Hasn't been back to move the meter. How am I meant to read the meter now and why wasn't I informed of this before he turned up at my house?  He had no id to say where he was from.

The gas distributor in your area are within their rights to make changes to your metering if they feel that the current configuration poses a safety concern, however the lack of communication you've received is unusual. Was any paperwork left by this technician, either in your letterbox or otherwise?
