My gas account was keep linking to wrong gas meters after I ask the AGL staff to fix the issue multiple times

I talked with AGL staff via app online chat and explained issue. They always help me to reconnect the service. But the connected meter is still wrong. They said it was because the previous tenant used Sumo Energy passed the wrong information to them and they were not responsible for it.

I have trying to fix the issue by taking with AGL staff online at least 5times, over almost 2 months. The issue still exists.

Anyone can help me fix it? No one did help me before even they said they would raise a request or something.

I have been experiencing an ongoing issue with my gas account being linked to the wrong meter, despite contacting AGL Energy multiple times over the past two months. Each time I reached out through their online chat, the staff temporarily reconnected my service, but the meter linked to my account remained incorrect. I was informed that the issue was caused by incorrect information provided by Sumo Energy, however, the problem has still not been properly resolved. Despite my repeated efforts—at least five separate attempts—the situation continues, leaving me concerned about incorrect billing and t

Hi @kreep56lores

Thank you for your comment.

If you are worried that you are being billed for a gas meter that isn't yours, what you'll be able to do is compare the meter number on the bill and the meter itself.

This is located on the 3rd page of your bill in the meter details section, to see exactly where that is, the video below explains it or you can visit Read Your Bill.

If it is different let me know, I'll then send a Private Message through and I'll be able to assist in fixing it up.

Thanks, Chris
