Does a non compliant meter location need to be relocated?

Currently our meter box location is centralised for all 6 units in our block. I am aware the location is non-compliant and would not be installed in that location today. Under what circumstances would these need to be relocated?

The specifics of these cases can depend on the electricity distributor in your area. However, generally speaking you would need to have this moved before any voluntary changes can be made to your meter configuration (increase of phases, installation of a solar system etc) or if the supply of electricity became unsafe.
