Hello @ag7, Thank you for reaching out to us.

Victorian Power Industry (VPI) locks can be purchased from Master Locksmiths, please head to http://www.masterlocksmiths.com.au to find a Master Locksmith in your area.

Kind Regards,

Do we need to notify AGL or our distributor when we use a VPIL lock? Do the meter readers just see the lock and always have a master key with them to unlock, do the read and then re-lock?

Thanks for reaching out.

Yes, you’ll need to notify your electricity distributor, as they are the ones who hold the universal key required to access and read your meter. This ensures they can safely and accurately perform any necessary readings or maintenance.

If you’re unsure who your distributor is, you can usually find their details on your electricity bill or by visiting the Australian Energy Regulator’s website.

Please let me know if you need help finding their contact information — I’m happy to assist.
