Unhappy Jan,

I am a very dissatisfied customer with AGL. We, wife and I, are both gas and elec with AGL and have been since time began.

We have solar panels as well as batteries and we contribute all our excess electricity to poor old AGL, and for this privilege we now receive 1.5c/Kwh hour.

I do not believe that AGL have any of our interests at heart to us. Their loyalty to us is zero. Their sole purpose is to gouge as much as possible from us or in money or free electricity.

Despite the State Gove cheapest offer comparison, their plans are tricky to understand and difficult to interpret.

I need to change from AGL. Are there any suggestions on alternate suppliers please.

Also, is there any way I can donate my excess electricity to a charity or to community battery.

Regards,

Graeme H

Good day, Greameh!

I understand that the deduction of the feed in tariff can be hard to accept yet the decision is not made by AGL. Though, we do have solar saver plan which will offer you a higher feed in tariff, we do need to have a discussion with you to see if this plan suits you before changing it over.

The best way to approach solar is no longer a huge credit on your bill but to use your own power instead of having to buy it from the grid. During the daytime, instead of buying from the grid for so many c/kwh or sending it back for so little credit, if you maximize your usage when sun is out. You are using your solar at $0 cost.

As for community battery, that have been something consider by multiple state government, but different area has different things going on, you are more than welcome to ask your locals to see if the area have a community battery for your extra solar.

Kind regards,
Mia
