Tranfer of account

I'm moving out of my parents' house and would like to change the owner of the electricity & gas account to one of them before I move out. 

It seems I can change the contact details but not the account owner.

What would be the correct process to follow in this case?

Thank you for your post.

You aren't able to just change ownsership, what you'll need to do is create an account for the parent that will be taking over and set up a connection in thier name. This can be done on our website here: https://www.agl.com.au/residential/energy/compare-plans

Or you can also contact our support directly and they'll be able to assist in setting up an account.

Thanks, Chris. Do I need to request to delete my account before/after setting up the new account under my parent's name?

My pleasure.

There is no need to close the account before you set up one under your parents' name.  You'll be able to set their account up and then Contact Us to organize the closure of yours.
